MPS Weather Update – Normal Operations Resume Tuesday, January 27
Montgomery Public Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27. The safety of our students, families, and staff remains our top priority.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility. As temperatures remain cold, please ensure students are dressed in warm layers, including a coat and, if possible, a hat and gloves, before leaving home.
Thank you for your continued cooperation as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community.
Weather Alert: Monday, January 26 – Asynchronous Learning Day (1-23-2026)
Montgomery Public Schools is closely monitoring weather conditions in coordination with local emergency management officials. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.
Based on the forecast and the expectation of dangerously cold temperatures, we have decided that Monday, January 26, will be an asynchronous learning day for all students. A considerable number of our students walk to and from school, and we do not want to expose them—or our bus riders and staff—to potentially hazardous, frigid conditions.
Students should be prepared to engage in asynchronous learning, with specific instructions and assignments provided by their teachers.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our entire school community
