Big news for the LAMP High School community! This past Friday, our students competed at the Alabama Region 2 Poetry Out Loud competition and secured top honors.

We are proud to announce that Mikayla Austin and Samantha Brandt took first and second place respectively in the Poetry Anthology division. Julie Uhm also won her division for Original Poetry. All three students have earned the honor of advancing to the state finals.

These performances reflect the hard work and creative spirit of our school. Mikayla, Samantha, and Julie will represent LAMP at the State Competition on February 26 at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.

Please join us in celebrating their achievements and wishing them luck as they prepare for the next stage!
