1) Visit PowerSchool Parent Portal to access your student's PowerSchool account.
2) Click the Year Round Update in the PowerSchool Portal link to update the following information:

3) Once you've completed your student(s) update information, you'll receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, and a second email from GO Fan will be sent to you with four (4) tickets per a MPS student's updated record for the Keep the Beat Concert featuring MPS students and a SPECIAL PERFORMING ARTIST!
4) MPS Families are invited to bring their loved ones, community supporters, and other stakeholders to this event! Families will be able to share their Go Fan tickets with guests. If there are any questions regarding the tickets, please email parentinfo@mps.k12.al.us.

MPS is thrilled to announce that our students will have the chance to share the stage with Grammy Award-winning percussionist Sheila E. at the “Keep the Beat” concert on May 10 at the Riverfront Amphitheater from 3 pm to 6 pm hosted by Pastor Lee Walker of New Home Missionary Baptist Church and Mr. Terrance Baldwin, Founder of MEOW Academy!
Sheila E., a world-renowned performer, is joining us to help spotlight the importance of daily school attendance and strong family engagement. It’s going to be an unforgettable day of music, community, food trucks, fitness activities, giveaways, and inspiration! Remember, this is a community event, so make sure you join the fun!

The Alabama Literacy Act (ALA) states, “Each local education agency shall provide Summer Reading Camp(s) to all K-3 students identified with a consistent reading deficiency with mathematics embedded. In addition, the Alabama Numeracy Act (ANA) requires each school district to offer summer math camps for students in grades 4 and 5 who are identified with a mathematics deficiency. Our Office of Family and Parental Engagement will host an important information session focused on dealing with grief. The event will include discussions on the new stages of grief, practical strategies for coping with loss, and information on local resources and support systems. Local mental health vendors will be on site to provide additional guidance and assistance. This event is open to everyone.
