Montgomery Public Schools kicked off our Make-and-Take Mondays Family Workshop series with a fantastic first session focused on Homework Toolkits! 🛠️📚

Families gathered at the MPS Leadership Center to build custom academic toolkits, discuss effective study habits—including busting the "20 Minute Myth"—and prepare for a successful school year ahead. Thank you to all the parents, students, and staff who came out to make our first workshop such a great success!

Join us in officially welcoming Bianca Jackson as our new head girls basketball coach at Carver High School! Bianca Jackson is a Montgomery native and former five-star standout who graduated from Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School. In 2017, Jackson earned Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year and Alabama Miss Basketball honors. She began her collegiate career at University of South Carolina before transferring to Florida State University, where she emerged as one of the Seminoles’ top guards and leaders. Jackson joined Alabama State University women’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant in 2024 and was promoted to assistant coach for the 2025–26 season. She is the daughter of former Alabama State University head coaches Freda Freeman-Jackson and Lewis Jackson.
