Montgomery Public Schools is proud to announce that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded our credit rating to A+, a significant improvement from the 'BBB+' rating in 2021. This upgrade reflects the hard work and strong financial stewardship by our leadership, staff, and community. The new rating will help us reduce borrowing costs, allowing us to secure better financing for future capital projects and invest more in our schools. This achievement highlights our commitment to building a strong financial foundation for the future of our students.

Due to expected inclement weather on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday 22, 2025, all MPS schools and offices will observe a virtual schedule. The district will be virtual on both days and all after-school activities, which include athletic events, will be canceled.
MPS students and teachers will follow virtual learning schedules. MPS employees will receive specific virtual work instructions from their direct supervisors.
All, please be safe and monitor your emails for any additional updates.
Please note that Monday, January 20, 2025, MLK DAY, is an observed holiday for all MPS students and staff.
