Catch an encore of that song, award-winning performances, and newly performed pieces from Theatre students of all grade levels.
The 2026 Theatre Showcase will be held in the Black Box next Friday, February 6th at 6:30 PM and Saturday, February 7th at 2:30 PM.

Montgomery Public Schools is closely monitoring the weather in coordination with local emergency management officials. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Based on the forecast we have decided that Monday, January 26, will be an asynchronous day of learning for all students. This will ensure that bus riders, walkers, and staff are not exposed to dangerously cold conditions. Students should be prepared to engage in asynchronous learning, with instructions provided by their teachers. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community.

🚀 Leadership in Action 🚀
Dr. Byrd and Interim Chief of Staff Dr. Lashley recently visited STARBASE Maxwell, where they witnessed how hands-on STEM learning is preparing students for futures in science, technology, and innovation. Experiences like these strengthen partnerships and expand opportunities for our scholars—another example of how we’re moving MPS forward.

Montgomery Public Schools honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We reflect on his call to service, justice, and unity as we continue the work of educating and empowering every student.

Reminder: There will be no school on Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) has announced its intent to apply for the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant. This funding opportunity would support high-quality after-school and out-of-school-time programs focused on academic achievement, enrichment, and whole-child development.
The 21st CCLC grant would allow MPS to expand tutoring and academic enrichment, provide safe and supportive learning environments during non-school hours, and offer engaging programming aligned with state standards.
MPS is seeking partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and other stakeholders interested in supporting after-school and out-of-school-time programming.
