Good evening, BTW Families,

As we prepare for the week, please keep in mind that we have 24 days remaining in the 2025–2026 school year. Let’s stay the course!

Friday, April 24th is an asynchronous learning day for all MPS scholars. Scholars should check Schoology for assignments. Assignments will count as grades. BTW staff will report to campus and will be available via email only.

Intent to Return Forms are overdue. Please submit to the office by tomorrow, Monday, April 20th. Please refer to previous notification regarding course selection choice forms for current 9th -11th grade scholars.

Course Failure Notices (for students currently earning a 59 or below for the year in any course) will go home Thursday, April 23, 2026. These scholars are required to attend summer school.

As a reminder, for the safety and efficiency of our campus:

Do not pick up or drop off scholars on Bell Road. This is extremely dangerous.
Also, we ask that drivers watch their speed on campus and refrain from parking in the faculty parking lots.

Seniors will take Semester II exams next week, April 24-27. Seniors must attend school daily as well.

Student attendance remains critical. Please ensure your scholar attends school daily and arrives on time. Scholars must wear uniforms daily. ID badges, Yondrs, clear purses, clear backpacks are required daily. No scholar has permission to be out of uniform.

Parents, we cannot do it without your support. Please help us to ensure our scholars are following MPS Policies accordingly.

Thank you for your support of Excellence In All Things , BTW.

Best,

Good afternoon, Parents of Current 9-11th Graders returning to BTW for 2026-2027,

Course Selection Forms 2026-2027 will go home with scholars in early May. Scholars will be receiving admin assistance with their course selections before they are sent home to parents to review.

Please Note: Scholars that elect to take any AP courses are required to take the AP Exams for the courses accordingly. AP course registration in College Board for the exam will take place in August 2026. Scholars that do not sign up to take the exam will have a change in scheduling and will be required to take an alternate class instead of the AP course.

We are working diligently to ensure our scholars are taking the correct courses.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ruffin

April is the Month of the Military Child 💜

This month, we pause to honor the strength, sacrifice, and resilience of our military-connected scholars. While their families answer the call to serve our nation, these scholars quietly carry a weight of their own: new places, new faces, and constant change, yet they continue to rise with courage and grace.

To our military scholars: we see your strength in every transition, your bravery in every new beginning, and your heart in every challenge you overcome. You are resilient, you are remarkable, and you are deeply appreciated.

Good morning BTW Families,

Parents, please ensure your scholar is attending school every day. This is for parents of Seniors too. We are observing too many absences from scholars. Scholars that are nearing chronic absenteeism have been provided warnings regarding their absences and how they will affect grades/assignments earned. Scholars miss out on valuable learning experiences when they are not at school.

Parents of Seniors, please remind your scholar that school attendance is a must as their grades are due soon.

Parental support is necessary in cultivating a healthy close of the school year.

Thank you for support in the fight against chronic absenteeism.

Best,

Dr. Ruffin
