Please join the BTW Community in congratulating Senior Scholar Michelle Gamino for enlisting in the Army over the spring break. Scholar Gamino will be able to spend time with her family this summer, but following, she will be leaving to serve our country. We thank Scholar Michelle for her selflessness in her commitment to serve this country in these most difficult times.
Congratulations!
Sincerely,
Dr. Elmore

We entrust that everyone has had a restful, safe spring break!
It's now time to get back in the swing of things and finish the school year strong! Welcome to the fourth nine-week grading period. Quarter III report cards will be distributed this Thursday, March 26, 2026. We ask that parents review report cards thoroughly to ensure their scholar is on track to returning to BTW for the 2026-27 academic year. To remain eligible for return, scholars must have a 2.5 core GPA and 3.0 GPA in their magnet. Please remember that grades can also be accessed online via PowerSchool. If you do not receive a physical copy from your scholar, please contact the main office. Scholars that earned a D and/or F in any course will be receiving an MTSS notice soon.
As we finish this final stretch, we must keep regular school attendance at the forefront of daily goal. Parents, please be reminded that scholars must have the required hours of instruction to validate academic success, with scholars not missing more than 17 days of school per academic year. We kindly request that our Yellow Jacket parents partner with us and provide extra support to ensure your scholar attends school every day. MTSS attendance notices will be distributed soon.
As a brief reminder regarding daily district and school policies for school attire, all students must wear their BTW uniform and ID badges visibly around their necks every day. Additionally, scholars are required to wear black or khaki uniform bottoms; jeans and leggings, and athletic pants are not permitted.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at the school. I look forward to seeing 500 BTW scholars tomorrow and every day for the remainder of this academic year! Let's finish strong, Yellow Jackets!
Sincerely,
Dr. Ruffin
