Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) is proud to announce a historic milestone for Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School. Justin Hannah has been named the inaugural head football coach of the Brewbaker Tech Rams, marking an exciting new chapter as the school expands its tradition of academic excellence into competitive athletics.
Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd shared, "Coach Hannah is the right leader to build this program from the ground up. His experience ensures our students will be equipped to succeed on the field and beyond."
Coach Hannah brings an impressive background that spans professional, collegiate, and high school football. Most recently serving at Tennessee State University, he also has experience as a professional player and has held key leadership roles across Alabama high school programs. His track record reflects a commitment to building strong teams and developing student-athletes both athletically and academically.
"Selecting the right leader for a program with no existing blueprint was critical," said Athletic Director Gregory Ruffin. "Coach Hannah's experience and success make him the ideal choice to establish a strong foundation and build a winning culture."
Beyond the game, Coach Hannah's background as a science teacher shapes his holistic approach. He prioritizes academic achievement, character development, and personal growth—ensuring student-athletes are prepared for success long after their playing days.
"Coach Hannah brings energy, discipline, and a clear vision for what Brew Tech football can be," said Principal Jason Norred. "More importantly, he understands that we’re building young men first and football players second. We’re excited about the direction our program is heading under his leadership."
Coach Hannah will begin his role immediately, focusing on staff recruitment, student-athlete engagement, and program development as the Rams prepare for their inaugural season.
We look forward to an exciting future for Brewbaker Tech and our scholar-athletes.
