Montgomery Public Schools is proud to celebrate five schools recognized by the Alabama State Department of Education through the Legislative School Performance Recognition Program for the 2024–2025 school year. This prestigious program honors schools across Alabama that demonstrate exceptional academic performance or significant improvement in student achievement.
The Legislative School Performance Recognition Program identifies schools in two categories: schools ranked in the top 25 percent of public schools statewide based on the state’s grading system, and schools that demonstrate exemplary progress by improving their overall school grade by at least one letter.
The following Montgomery Public Schools were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments:

Loveless Academic Magnet Program High School
Exemplary Academic Progress
Highland Gardens Elementary School
T.S. Morris Elementary School

These recognitions reflect the dedication, hard work, and commitment of students, teachers, administrators, families, and community partners who support academic success across the district. Their efforts continue to create learning environments where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
