Montgomery, Ala. — Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) is partnering with L-Evate Academy to launch a new pilot program designed to strengthen student resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being through innovative technology.

The pilot introduces the Life Be Life-ing App, a digital tool that provides students with daily emotional check-ins, short resilience-building lessons, and personalized encouragement grounded in the 5Gs of Growth: Gratitude, Grace, Generosity, Grit, and Grind.

“What we’ve found across the country is that the demand for great mentors far outpaces the supply,” said Danny White, founder of L-Evate Academy. “This program uses technology and artificial intelligence to meet students where they are and help them grow every day.”

Through the app, students are paired with a personalized AI digital mentor. The mentor offers consistent encouragement, reflection, and support while amplifying the work of teachers and counselors.

“This app provides students with tools that meet them where they are daily,” said MPS Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd. “We are proud to partner with Mr. White and excited to move forward with this program.”

Teachers receive access to classwide dashboards showing emotional trends and early indicators of stress, allowing for proactive support while maintaining student privacy.

By launching this pilot, Montgomery Public Schools continues to lead with innovative, student-centered approaches to mental wellness and academic success.
