Byrd 100 day plan

MPS Launches Parent Survey as Part of Superintendent’s 100-Day Plan

Montgomery, Ala.– Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) has launched a district-wide parent survey as part of Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd’s Vision, Viability, and Voice 100-Day Plan, an initiative focused on listening, learning, and leading with transparency and trust.

Dr. Byrd, who began his tenure as superintendent on May 1, 2025, is committed to hearing directly from parents and guardians to better understand the needs and aspirations of the MPS community. The survey is designed to collect meaningful feedback that will help inform district priorities and improve the educational experience for all students.

“We want our families to know we’re working hard to ensure their voices are heard and we implement strategies that will support our scholars,” said Dr. Byrd. “This survey is just a start to an ongoing conversation we will actively have with our families.”

The survey is now open and accessible at www.mps.k12.al.us by clicking on the news section of the website. All responses are confidential and will be used to help shape future decisions within the district. The survey is scheduled to close on July 31, 2025.
