Safety is Montgomery Public School's Top Priority

The MPS Security Department conducts routine assessments of district assets and establishes processes that improve the overall safety for our students and employees district-wide. Each school campus has an emergency operations plan and a team that provides fire departments, law enforcement, emergency medical services, and other state and federal agencies with critical information during an emergency response. 

Throughout the year, students and staff participate in safety drills that help to ensure everyone is familiar with the standardized approach to emergency response:
