An official statement from Montgomery Public Schools titled "MPS Provides Update Regarding LAMP and U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Rankings." The document displays the MPS logo at the top and explains that LAMP High School was not assigned a ranking in the 2026–2027 U.S. News rankings, along with other high schools across Alabama. It clarifies that ranking data is gathered by U.S. News from state agencies like the ALSDE rather than submitted directly by local districts. A quote from Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous M. Byrd reaffirms LAMP's long history of academic excellence and states that MPS is working with state officials to determine what occurred.
Good luck to our Golden Tigers competing today! Volleyball kicks off their season at home against St. James at 4:00 PM and Brew Tech at 5:00 PM. Meanwhile, the cross country team heads to Montgomery Academy for the "MA 100 Min MAsh" at 4:30 PM. Come out and show your support!
