Nicholas Townsend – Park Crossing High

Nicholas Townsend is a veteran educational leader with more than 23 years of experience serving students and schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Holding degrees in elementary education, school counseling, and instructional leadership, he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education at Auburn University at Montgomery. Mr. Townsend is passionate about using data-driven practices to improve student achievement while ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all.

She began her career in the Bullock County School District before joining Montgomery Public Schools in 2008, where she has served as a teacher, Curriculum Instructional Assistant, Accountability Interventionist, Assistant Principal, Principal of Bellingrath Middle School, and most recently, Principal of Goodwyn Middle School. A proud graduate of Alabama State University, Mrs. Howard earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Education in Biology Education, and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership. As principal of McIntyre Comprehensive Academy, she is committed to partnering with students, families, staff, and the community to build a culture of excellence, innovation, and opportunity for every learner.

Christi Black-Reese is an accomplished educational leader with more than 20 years of experience in K–12 education, instructional leadership, school improvement, and student achievement. She currently serves as principal of McIntyre Comprehensive Academy at the Montgomery Youth Facility, where she leads academic programming and educational opportunities for justice-involved youth. Previously serving as principal and assistant principal at Percy Julian High School, Mrs. Black-Reese has extensive experience in instructional leadership, curriculum development, educational technology, and data-driven decision-making. She holds an Educational Specialist degree and two master's degrees from Alabama State University and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership at the University of Alabama. She is committed to developing leaders, improving student achievement, and creating learning environments where every student can thrive.

Cheryl Fountain is a veteran educational leader with nearly 30 years of experience in education, including almost 10 years in the classroom and more than 20 years in school administration. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for creating cultures of excellence through high academic expectations, student-centered leadership, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community. Most recently serving as principal of Park Crossing High School, Mrs. Fountain now leads Percy Julian High School, where she is focused on strengthening college and career readiness, implementing data-driven instructional practices, expanding student engagement, and enhancing school climate through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Alabama State University, an Educational Specialist degree from Concordia University, and administrative credentials from Auburn University at Montgomery. Mrs. Fountain remains committed to empowering students to achieve academic excellence, demonstrate strong character, and become productive, responsible citizens.

Mrs. Starr began her career as a high school English teacher and is committed to student-centered leadership, academic excellence, and creating opportunities that prepare all students for success in college, careers, and life.

Victor Davis, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, brings more than 25 years of experience in education, serving as an English Language Arts teacher, Academic Interventionist, and Assistant Principal. He earned his bachelor's degree from Alabama State University and his master's degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. Mr. Davis is passionate about helping students succeed, supporting teachers, and fostering positive learning environments where every student can thrive. His leadership is rooted in commitment, consistency, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. He strives to create a culture of academic excellence and believes in the power of perseverance, often reflecting on the words of Denzel Washington: "Without commitment, you'll never start. With over 21 years of experience in education, her work is guided by the belief that providing teachers, students, and parents with the resources they need is key to building a thriving community. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Lewis is a dedicated community mentor, active sorority member, and a 35-year member of Southlawn Baptist Church.
