Montgomery Public Schools is excited to announce that Rooms, our new two-way communication platform, is officially live.

Families will now begin receiving messages and updates directly from their child's teachers, coaches, and school staff—all in one place through the MPS app or a secure web experience.

Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, all schools will be required to use Rooms for two-way communication.

Rooms makes it easier than ever to stay connected with your child’s school by providing:

- Messages delivered by text, push notification, or email
- One login for all school and district communication
- A single inbox for classroom updates, announcements, and direct messages
- Access through the mobile app or web
- Automatic translation into your preferred language

Getting Started:

- Watch for messages and announcements from your school
- Click the link in any message to respond or follow up
- Update your notification settings to choose how and when you're notified

To stay connected on the go, download the free MPS mobile app.

Watch a quick overview of Rooms here.
