Today, we celebrate the wisdom, unconditional love, and constant support that grandparents and grand-figures bring into the lives of our students. Thank you for being our students' biggest cheerleaders, wisdom-keepers, and guiding lights!

In the middle is a framed photo of a smiling female student alongside a smiling woman wearing glasses. Large white bold text at the bottom reads "GRANDPARENTS' DAY".
Today, Montgomery Public Schools pauses in solemn honor and remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We pay tribute to the innocent victims, honor the heroic first responders who answered the call, and recognize the resilience of our nation. May we always teach our students the values of unity, courage, and service to others.

make-and-take mondays family workshop

Hello Jaguar Families. As we begin Week 2 of our school year, here are some reminders for success:

Yondr pouches- Phones off and locked in Yondr pouches.

School-issued ID badges- worn and visible.

Compliance with the MPS Dress Code- (p.4 of the MPS Code of Conduct), including belts, no chains, and skirts and shorts no higher than the crease of the back of the knee.

We ask families to help Jaguar students establish the habit of checking attire and required items each morning before leaving home. Arriving prepared allows us to begin each school day efficiently and remain focused on what matters most—teaching, learning, and the success of every Jaguar student.

Finally, safety is of great concern during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Please make sure car riders are not out of the car until 7:05 to enter the school building. Students can’t be dropped off at Blount or in the Parking lot while waiting for school to open. Please help keep the campus safe for students by following these safety rules.

Thank you, parents, for working with the staff of Johnnie Carr Middle School.
