Our Lady Yellow Jackets Volleyball Team hung in there with Carver! This is what it is all about...Sportsmanship, Discipline, and Getting Better. At BTW, we have scholar-artist-athletes, and they demonstrate "Excellence In All Things". They were nothing short of excellence in their plays on the court. While our Lady Yellow Jackets may not have won the competition last night, they WON and OWN the SPIRIT of PERSEVERANCE!

ATTENTION PARENTS OF SENIORS -CLASS OF 2026,
Senior scholars successfully enrolled in the ASU Orientation Course with me received their login information yesterday. Please support your scholar in accessing the platform for assignments as class is in full session.
Thank you for your support as we prepare to graduate every BTW Senior college and career ready!

Dr. Ruffin
Initially, we limited the allowance of personal devices to scholars enrolled in courses via dual enrollment. Unfortunately, we are still awaiting the arrival of Chromebook chargers. To avoid scholars falling behind on assignments, I am allowing all scholars the opportunity to bring their personal devices (laptops and/or Chromebrooks) to school to complete their assignments. I-pads are not allowed. Personal Device Usage Forms are available in the front office for scholars.
I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences. We will continue to keep our BTW community updated on the arrival of the Chromebook chargers.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ruffin

Let's Go Yellow Jackets!
It is so important that our BTW scholars attend school every day. Student attendance absolutely matters in schools, as it significantly impacting academic success, long-term life outcomes, and the overall school environment. Consistent attendance leads to better academic performance, higher graduation rates, improved college prospects, and greater feelings of connection to school and peers. Conversely, chronic absenteeism negatively affects students' ability to read, learn, and graduate, and it can disrupt the entire learning process for the whole school community. Chronic absenteeism also negatively impacts the school's report card grade.
Scholars identified as chronically absent from school last year (2024-2025) will be receiving MTSS Notifications today. The identified scholars will be placed on Tier II plans to address their attendance concerns. Plans will be uploaded to the scholars' MTSS folder accordingly. Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email.
Have a great Friday and restful weekend!
Dr. Ruffin
