MPS releases 2025–2026 Family & Community Engagement Needs Assessment – District Analysis

Montgomery Public Schools received 1,855 parent responses, representing 7.2% of district enrollment.

Survey highlights include:
• Preferred communication: Text (85%), Email (69.7%), Phone (47.1%)
• 75.1% of parents feel confident supporting their child’s learning
• Preferred event times: Evenings (5:00–7:00 p.m.) – 64.1% and Virtual options – 48.3%

These insights will guide future MPS Family and Community Engagement efforts.

I wanted to share a free event for your families this holiday season.

The Montgomery Regional Airport is bringing back their Santa Fly-In — a festive holiday celebration right here at MGM! Santa will fly into the airport to greet families, take photos, and spread cheer just in time for Christmas. The event will also include holiday-themed stations, music, treats, and the chance to view our beautifully decorated Community of Christmas Trees displayed throughout the terminal and vote for your favorite tree.

Event Details:
Montgomery Regional Airport (Main Terminal)
Saturday, December 13
1:00 – 3:00 PM
Santa’s arrival: around 1:30-2:00 PM
This event is completely free and open to the public.
