The new rating will help us reduce borrowing costs, allowing us to secure better financing for future capital projects and invest more in our schools. This achievement highlights our commitment to building a strong financial foundation for the future of our students.

On yesterday, January 23rd, SJES had a Virtually Amazing Day!

Greeting Parents,
MPS has decided that we will have a virtual day of learning on tomorrow, January 23, 2025. Your student will need to participate in their teacher’s lessons, assignments, and Zoom/Google Meet sessions offered online. In addition to the sessions, teachers will also be available for office hours (2:00pm.-3:00p.m.). Teachers will also take lunch from 11:00am.-12:00p.m.
Zoom/Google Meets Etiquette for Students:
We ask that all students behave appropriately during their virtual sessions. Students should wear school appropriate attire, and it is suggested that they be seated at a desk or table (rather than lying down or reclining) to help with attention and to avoid any distractions during their teacher’s presentation of learning objectives.
Student Assignments:
During virtual days, expectations for assignment completion are the same as when students are present in-person. Thus, we have provided all work in the form of packets and the teachers will teach from the packets virtually.
Below you will find the link/QR codes for each grade level. Please scan the QR code to join your student’s class.

Due to expected inclement weather on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday 22, 2025, all MPS schools and offices will observe a virtual schedule. The district will be virtual on both days and all after-school activities, which include athletic events, will be canceled.
MPS students and teachers will follow virtual learning schedules. MPS employees will receive specific virtual work instructions from their direct supervisors.
All, please be safe and monitor your emails for any additional updates.
Please note that Monday, January 20, 2025, MLK DAY, is an observed holiday for all MPS students and staff.

Report Cards will be sent home today, Thursday, January 16, 2025!

We are back up and running! Feel free to call us at any time!

Remember: You Must Have Your ID to Ride the Bus! Replacement Badges are $5.00
Thank you for all of your efforts to ensure your child wears their student ID badge. We appreciate your support with this important safety and security initiative. Starting Jan 21st, students are Johnson Elementary School will be required to have student badges to get on the bus.
