Montgomery Public Schools is proud to offer its annual Summer Learning Program, designed to help students stay on track, strengthen key skills, and prepare for a successful start to the upcoming school year.
Running June 1 through June 26, Monday through Thursday, the Summer Learning Program provides students with a structured and engaging environment focused on academic growth. Elementary students will attend from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while middle and high school students will participate from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily.

The program is designed to meet students where they are by offering targeted instruction, reinforcing essential skills, and providing meaningful learning experiences. By staying engaged during the summer months, students can avoid learning loss and transition more smoothly into the next grade level.
MPS encourages all families to take advantage of this opportunity. Participation in Summer Learning has been shown to positively impact both academic performance and student confidence.
Families of incoming kindergarten students for the 2026–2027 school year are also invited to participate, provided their child is enrolled in Montgomery Public Schools prior to registering for the program.
Registration for the Summer Learning Program will be open from May 1 through May 29. Families are encouraged to contact their child’s school for additional details regarding enrollment and program availability.
Montgomery Public Schools remains committed to supporting student achievement year-round, ensuring every scholar has the tools needed to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
