Montgomery Public Schools has released the 2025–2026 Family and Community Engagement Needs Assessment – District Analysis, highlighting valuable feedback from families across the district. The survey results will help guide future engagement strategies and strengthen communication between schools and families.
A total of 1,855 parents participated in the survey, representing 7.2 percent of total district enrollment. The feedback provides insight into how families prefer to receive information, participate in school events, and support their children’s learning.

Top Communication Preferences:
Text message (85 percent), email (69.7 percent), and phone call (47.1 percent)Family Confidence:
75.1 percent of parents reported feeling confident in their ability to support their child’s learningPreferred Times for Engagement:
Evening events between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. were preferred by 64.1 percent of respondents
Virtual options were preferred by 48.3 percent of respondents
District leaders say the survey results reflect families’ priorities and will play an important role in shaping future Family and Community Engagement efforts across Montgomery Public Schools.
