🐾🤖 FAAM Robotics does it again! 🤖🐾
HUGE congratulations to our FAAM Robotics Team on winning their FIRST scrimmage! 🎉🏆
We are SO proud of these Wildcats! The competition was intense, the nerves were real, and the pressure was on—but they showed incredible teamwork, focus, and determination from start to finish.
There’s still lots to learn and grow through (that’s part of the journey!), but wow—what an amazing start. Watching them support each other, problem-solve on the fly, and rise to the challenge was everything. 💛
GO WILDCATS! 🐯💥
The future is bright—and built by these kids.

🎶✨ How Sweet the Sound – First Grade Program ✨🎶
Our first graders filled Forest Avenue with joy, pride, and beautiful music during their “How Sweet the Sound” performance! Through song, storytelling, and heartfelt performances, our students honored the powerful contributions Black Americans have made to music throughout history.
We are so proud of our students for their hard work, confidence, and incredible stage presence. Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and families for supporting our students.

Thank you to NAWIC for inspiring our students and showing them what’s possible! The Block Kids Building Program hosted by the National Association of Women in Construction allowed FAAM students to explore construction concepts and creativity through hands-on building experiences.

MPS Students will participate in an Asynchronous Learning Day on Feb. 6 while teachers engage in professional development to strengthen instruction and support student success. Thank you for your continued partnership!

Montgomery Public Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27. The safety of our students, families, and staff remains our top priority.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility. Due to extremely cold temperatures, please ensure your child is dressed in warm layers, including a coat and, if possible, a hat and gloves, before leaving home.

Montgomery Public Schools is closely monitoring the weather in coordination with local emergency management officials. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Based on the forecast we have decided that Monday, January 26, will be an asynchronous day of learning for all students. This will ensure that bus riders, walkers, and staff are not exposed to dangerously cold conditions. Students should be prepared to engage in asynchronous learning, with instructions provided by their teachers. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community.
🚀 Leadership in Action 🚀

Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) has announced its intent to apply for the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant. This funding opportunity would support high-quality after-school and out-of-school-time programs focused on academic achievement, enrichment, and whole-child development.
The 21st CCLC grant would allow MPS to expand tutoring and academic enrichment, provide safe and supportive learning environments during non-school hours, and offer engaging programming aligned with state standards.
