In recognition of Mental Health Month, Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) will host an informative and compassionate community session focused on understanding and coping with grief. The event is open to the public and aims to provide meaningful support for those navigating loss.
The session will include discussions on the new stages of grief, strategies for managing loss, and an overview of local mental health resources and support systems. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local mental health vendors who will be on site to offer guidance and services.
“Our goal is to create a safe space where our students, families, and community members can learn, share, and begin to heal together,” said Dr. Rosalyn Daniels, MPS Parenting Specialist. “Mental health matters every day, and grief is something that touches all of us at some point in our lives. We want our community to know they’re not alone.”
All are welcome to attend this important event.
