Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) is proud to announce the official application launch of the Cyber Intelligence Academy (C.I.A.) at Park Crossing High School. Starting Thursday, April 16, 2026, students can apply to join this cutting-edge program designed for the next generation of digital leaders.
As the digital landscape evolves, C.I.A. offers a unique curriculum focusing on three high-demand pillars: Cyber Law, Digital Forensics, and Artificial Intelligence Governance.
“We are preparing students for careers that didn't even exist a decade ago,” said Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd. “We are giving our students the tools to not only understand the digital world but to protect and govern it.”
This innovative magnet program equips students with the skills to understand the legal and ethical responsibilities for protecting IT systems, networks, and data. By combining Cybersecurity with Law & Public Safety course offerings, the pathway gives students a well-rounded foundation in both technology and the justice system.
Application & Eligibility: The application window is open from April 16th through May 8th, 2026. To be eligible, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.75. While priority placement is given to Montgomery County zoned residents, the C.I.A. Magnet welcomes applications from non-resident students and military families.
How to Apply: Interested families are encouraged to visit the C.I.A. Program website to learn more about the application process, transportation guidelines, and upcoming Open House dates.
