Chisholm Elementary School, in partnership with the Montgomery Public Schools Office of Federal Programs, is proud to introduce Parent University, a new initiative designed to equip families with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to actively support their children’s education and overall well-being.

Parent University focuses on strengthening the connection between school, home, and community by providing parents with practical tools and engaging learning experiences. The program aims to increase parental involvement, support student achievement, promote lifelong learning, and empower families to play an active role in their children’s success.

The pilot semester will feature four interactive sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours:

  • Level Up with Reading and Math Strategies – March 11, 2026 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.

  • Lit for Financial Literacy – March 25, 2026 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.

  • Thrive Together – Family Wellness – April 8, 2026 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.

  • Next Level – Career Connections – April 29, 2026 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.

The semester will conclude with a Parent University Graduation Ceremony on May 7, 2026, celebrating the dedication and participation of families who complete the program.

Chisholm Elementary’s vision for Parent University is to create a welcoming and supportive community where parents serve as active partners in their children’s education while gaining access to valuable resources that promote academic success and overall student development.
