Due to expected inclement weather on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday 22, 2025, all MPS schools and offices will observe a virtual schedule. The district will be virtual on both days and all after-school activities, which include athletic events, will be canceled. MPS students and teachers will follow virtual learning schedules. MPS employees will receive specific virtual work instructions from their direct supervisors. All, please be safe and monitor your emails for any additional updates. Please note that Monday, January 20, 2025, MLK DAY, is an observed holiday for all MPS students and staff.

April Math on the Move Family Math Play Date is scheduled for April 4, 2024. If you need transportation register using the QR Code. Parents must accompany the students. World Bullying Prevention Day is observed the first Monday in October (October 2). This day bring awareness to the need to stand up against and put an end to bullying. At CES we want to support this important day. We want all students have an opportunity to design a poster with a very special anti-bullying message.

Brewbaker Technology Magnet High rising sophomore Trinity Watts-Nuckles introduced Rep. Terri Sewell at the Southern Youth Leadership Development Institute summer camp! Trinity also spent some time at the state Capitol learning about government proceedings as a Senate page!

Congratulations to the Bear Exploration Center students who have their art on display at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts through Aug. 20! The Artworks Corridor Exhibit is entitled Alabama A to Z.
