Parents, we need your assistance...
We are experiencing an influx of scholars reporting to school late, mostly our car riders and student drivers. Scholars are required to be seated in homeroom at 7:45 A.M. Please be reminded that we will not be able to support excessive and habitual tardies for any scholar. Please support scholars in being prompt and punctual daily. Equally important, please be sure to support scholars with uniform expectations. We are well into the school year, and every scholar is aware that uniforms, Yondrs, ID badges, clear bags, and clear water bottles are required every day. Our compliance with the processes and protocols outlined in the Montgomery Public Schools Student Conduct Manual cannot be contested. We are committed to ensuring our scholars are safe and learning. Your help makes all the difference. We need and appreciate our parents and community.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ruffin

A gentle reminder that tomorrow, September 30, 2025 will be an Asynchronous Learning Day for all 9th, 11th, and 12th grade scholars in MPS as the 10th graders will engage in the PreACT assessment. Teachers will place assignments for 9, 11, & 12 grade scholars in Schoology. Only Grade 10 must report to the campus. We plan to begin testing at 8:30 A.M., therefore, it is critical that all 10th graders report to school timely. Please limit your visitations to emergencies only. We will not be able to interrupt the testing activity. Please be sure to follow the expectations for cellular devices (previously shared). 10th grade scholars will be able to leave once an ALL-CLEAR status has been issued. We will notify parents of the ALL-CLEAR via email and text. Please, no early-checkouts as your scholar will not have a completed assessment. This is a state-mandated assessment.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Have a great Monday,
Dr. Ruffin
ARE YOU READY TO TAKE THE WORKKEYS ASSESSMENT IN NOVEMBER? DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF WORKKEYS?
WorkKeys is important because it assesses fundamental skills needed for job success, provides nationally recognized National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) that employers value, and helps individuals and communities build a skilled workforce. WorkKeys validates essential workplace skills and can lead to better job prospects and higher salaries. For employers, it's a reliable tool for hiring, training, and developing a high-performance workforce by matching applicant skills to requirements. Some colleges require WorkKeys for their Masters' level candidacy.
YES, YOUR PERFORMANCE ON THE WORKKEYS MATTERS? ARE YOU PRACTICING?
Parents, we have provided Seniors with platforms via Clever/Progress Learning for WorkKeys practice. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you should need any assistance as we collaborative work to support the success of our Seniors on this very critical assessment.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ruffin
