Good morning, BTW Families,

ATTN Seniors and Parents of Seniors:

Graduation tickets will be distributed at the conclusion of graduation rehearsal, May 11, 2026. Each senior will sign verifying receipt of tickets. At this time, each Senior will receive 10 tickets. I would like to share that the number of tickets allocated is ultimately determined by Alabama State University, as they host the ceremony at the Acadome. Several factors go into that decision, including safety, security protocols, staffing, and overall event logistics. Unfortunately, I will not be able to honor any requests for extra tickets.

Thank you for your time and understanding. Congratulations again to our Seniors c/o 2026.

Good evening, BTW Parents and Scholars,

From the desk of the Executive Director of MPS Secondary Schools...

This is a reminder that the last day of school for all students is May 20. (Seniors are still required to report to school this upcoming week). Student attendance directly impacts our chronic absenteeism rates, which are reflected on our school and district report cards.

BTW Parents, please support our scholars in attending school and finishing strong!

We’re excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with our graduates and their families. Be sure to review the graduation dates and times for each high school on the graphic as you prepare for the big day.

To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind: Doors will open one hour prior to each ceremony, and all guests ages 2 and older must have a ticket for entry. Balloons and noisemakers are not permitted inside the venue, and security procedures, including the clear bag policy, will be strictly enforced.

As shared with BTW teachers, Senior scholars that have an exemption status regarding exams are excused from those specific classes this week. They are to be coded as such. Please encourage your scholar to reach out to his/her teachers regarding their status.

If you have questions regarding your scholar's exemption/non-exemption status, please reach out to the teacher via email.
