Montgomery Public Schools is excited to welcome students, families, and community members to its annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl.
The free community event is designed to help students and families prepare for a successful school year and celebrate the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Families can enjoy interactive learning stations featuring reading, math, STEM, and fine arts activities led by MPS educators. In addition to educational activities, attendees can enjoy bounce houses, tailgate games, giveaways, student entertainment, and a community vendor fair featuring local organizations and resources. MPS will also distribute free school supply kits to students while supplies last.
"Our Back-to-School Bash is more than just a celebration—it's an opportunity to connect with our families, provide valuable resources, and ensure every student begins the school year prepared for success," said Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd.
The district encourages all MPS families to attend and take advantage of the many resources and activities available throughout the event.
