MPS Interim Superintendent Ms. Jamie Wilson

Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of  Ms. Jaime Wilson to the position of Interim Superintendent, effective November 1, 2024. Ms. Wilson brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success to this critical role.


Ms. Wilson's 20-year career has been driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of education. She is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Through her work, she has seen firsthand how quality education can unlock potential, nurture individual talents, and create a better future for all.

 
Over the course of her career, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including Chief of Staff for MPS, Director of Human Resources for Reynoldsburg City Schools, and Middle School Principal. As interim superintendent of Montgomery Public Schools, Ms. Wilson’s key focus areas include:


· Fostering student achievement and success
· Supporting and empowering district staff, teachers, and administrators with the resources they need is crucial
· Prioritizing safety and well-being to ensure every student feels safe
· Continuing to improve reading and numeracy skills across our district
· Improving chronic absenteeism ensures all students are engaged in the learning process and regularly present in the classroom.
· Open and transparent communication with parents, families, and the community
· Recruiting and retaining talent within the district

Ms. Wilson's academic achievements reflect her dedication to continuous learning and development. Ms. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University, where she excelled both academically and athletically, earning the Huskie Scholastic Academic and M.A.C Academic Commissioner’s award. Her experience as captain of the Women’s Basketball team nurtured her leadership skills and instilled in her a strong sense of teamwork and commitment. She furthered her educational pursuits, receiving her Master’s in Educational Administration from Governors State University in Chicago, Illinois, and completing the Superintendent Licensure Program at The Ohio State University.
 
Ms. Wilson's dedication to education stems from her family heritage - she comes from a family of educators, notably her mother, a retired principal. This unique upbringing has fostered a deep understanding of the educational landscape and instilled in her a passion for giving back to the community by developing future educators who are passionate about inspiring and empowering youth. 

 
As Interim Superintendent, Ms. Wilson is eager to leverage her experience and dedication to support MPS in achieving our goals as a district.
