FAFSA Information

The free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used by the federal government to determine a family's eligibility for grants, work-study, and loans to pay for college. All students are encouraged to apply for the FAFSA no matter their financial status.

Why should the FAFSA be completed?

FAFSA completion or FAFSA Non Participation waiver completion is an Alabama High School Graduation requirement.

If you do not file, you will automatically not qualify for any funds.

Most postsecondary institutions require a completed FAFSA before any scholarship amount is awarded.

Many work-study programs require a completed FAFSA.
