I hold a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, ESOL, and Reading from the University of West Florida. I have also earned my Master's and Educational Specialist Degree in the area of Instructional Leadership at Auburn University Montgomery.  

I hold a Professional Educator Certification in the area of Elementary Education and Instructional Leadership.

Greetings FES Families,

It is with great pleasure and honor that I introduce myself as the principal of Flowers Elementary. This will be my 3rd year serving as Principal at Flowers Elementary. I have taught elementary and middle school and served in the role of Accountability Interventionist and Assistant Principal. I have also served at the State Department Level in the section of Accountability. 

Our school theme for the 2023-2024 school year is, "Teach Them, Love Them, Watch Them Grow!" We look forward to a great school year at Flowers Elementary.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Alabama State University. I have also earned my Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling and completed my Instructional Leadership Certification at the University of West Alabama.

I hold a Professional Educator Certification in the area of Elementary Education, School Counseling, and Instructional Leadership.

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction in my second year as the Assistant Principal of Flowers Elementary School (FES). I am incredibly grateful and excited to continue my leadership with the FES family! I look forward to continuing to work in partnership with all stakeholders in advocating for and providing all students and families with educational experiences where values and diversity are celebrated. Throughout my career, I was an Accountability Interventionist, Technology Coordinator, 1st grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade teacher at Davis Elementary School with the Montgomery Public School System.

In addition, I have worked in Lowndes County, AL at Ft. Deposit Elementary and Central Elementary Schools teaching grades 1st and 2nd. This is my 20th year as an educator, and I enjoy the challenges of education, working with teachers, parents, students, as well as community organizations.  

I will continue to provide leadership to build a structure of collaborative relationships in the school and community so that ALL students can have a variety of opportunities to succeed!  I look forward to meeting all students and families this 2023-2024 School Year!
