Dr. Bryan Cutter is a fearless, visionary, transformational leader with an unwavering passion for teaching and learning. With over ten years experience in education, he has served as a teacher, music director, academic intervention facilitator, assistant principal, Career Technical Education director, and school administrator. Dr. Cutter developed his love for learning as a student within Montgomery Public Schools. His love of learning led him to Alabama State University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education. Guided by his commitment to being a lifelong learner, he attended Auburn University to receive his Master's and Educational Specialist degree. After teaching for 5 years, Dr. Cutter decided he wanted to make a bigger impact outside the classroom, so he returned to Alabama State University to receive a Master's degree in Instructional Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law. His research interests are in school culture and climate, student discipline, school to prison pipeline, and professional learning communities. Additionally, he has presented at multiple conferences on the topics of student engagement, rigor and relevance, school culture, and discipline.
As a school leader, Dr. Cutter is committed to ensuring all students have an opportunity to learn and reach their fullest potential in an environment that is safe, healthy, and conducive to learning. His zeal for teaching and learning is evident in his daily interactions with students and teachers. He believes strongly in developing school, home, and community partnerships. While at Dalraida, he implemented the district's first STEM innovation lab equipped with 21st century technology to prepare students for the tools needed to be productive and successful citizens. In 2022, Dr. Cutter was a receipient of the Milken Educators Award for the State of Alabama.
Dr. Cutter enjoys exercising, traveling, live music performances, and takes pride in being a father to two wonderful daughters, Jamiya and Madison.
