With over 70 years of developing future business leaders, Alabama FBLA-PBL develops members’ leadership potential and business content knowledge, preparing them for college and career. FBLA is an important partner in the success of school-to-work programs, business education curriculums, and student leadership development.

The work of FCCLA helps students and teachers focus on a variety of youth concerns, including parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation in Family & Consumer Sciences.

Future Teachers of Alabama (FTA)
The Future Teachers of Alabama Organization (FTA) is a pre-professional organization influencing the future of education on a high school level. The organization consists of tomorrow’s teachers concerned about the profession today.
Students participating in FTA programs have opportunities to participate in activities designed to provide them with hands-on experience in the profession.

HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

Mu Alpha Theta - Math Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor
Society, was formed in 1957 at the University of Oklahoma. Mu Alpha Theta is dedicated to
inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and
promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.
Currently, more than 100,000 students are Mu Alpha Theta members at more than 2,420
schools in the United States and in 23 foreign countries.Mu Alpha Theta:
- Provides a method for schools to recognize and encourage students who enjoy and excel in
mathematics. - Organizes a national convention for students and teachers to participate in math-related
events and interact with others from across the country. - Rewards outstanding extracurricular achievement by offering special awards, scholarships,
and grants to students and their faculty advisers. - Provides mathematics competitions to participating members at their own school through the Log1 Contest, Rocket City Math League and the Mathematical Minutes Video Contest.

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921.

Spanish Club
El Club de Español offers its members exposure to the Spanish-speaking world and its rich, diverse cultures. Club members will be exposed to music, movies, art and of course, food! This is a social club that welcomes any student who wants to join... contrary to the name, there is no need to know any Spanish here!

Youth in Government
Youth in Government is a large component of the Student YMCA program. There are two main components of Youth in Government: Youth Judicial, and Youth Legislature. Although these are both three day conferences, the scope is much larger and much of the learning is done in the local Student YMCA.
