     Elementary Choir

Third through fifth grade students can participate in the school choir.    The choir rehearses two days a week after school preparing for school performances that include PTA programs, family fun night and Autism Recognition programs.  The choir also provide positive community outreach through our performances to local nursing homes, Montgomery Cancer Center and sing Christmas carols for the shoppers at Eastdale Mall.

The  Wilson Elementary choir has received recognition on many levels.  The Wilson Elementary parents support the music program with high attendance to performances and numerous accolades.  The Wilson Elementary music choir gives back to the community by unselfishly donating their time to perform for PTA programs,  in nursing homes, Montgomery Cancer Center, Holiday Market and  caroling at Eastdale Mall.  In March of 2020 the Wilson choir received an invitation and successfully performed for the State Department of Education and Alabama State Capitol.  Students from the Wilson Elementary Choir were recognized as selected students to participate in the MPS Elementary Honor Choir and the Alabama State Choir. A Wilson Choir student was also recognized for her performance in the Shakespeare Festival.    The Wilson Elementary Choir is a great organization to help build vocal and performance foundation skills and an opportunity to teach  students how to use their talent and gifts to represent the school in a positive manner and  give back to the community.
