My name is Debra Moss-Dixon. This is my first year at Garrett Elementary and my fourth year with Montgomery Public Schools. I am the mother of four wonderful children; Dennis, Michael, Brandon and Maya. I am also the grandmother of two adorable grandsons, Brandon (BJ) and Asher.  I enjoy reading, watching movies, walking, listening to music, and traveling.

Hello!

My name is Chandra Barton, and I teach 4th Grade here at GES! I’ve been an elementary teacher for 18 years now, and I absolutely LOVE my job! I started my educational journey at The Alabama State University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Go Hornets! I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Faulkner University! Go Eagles! After 14 years in another school district, I decided to return to MPS and be with my Garrett family!! Besides my work family, I have one daughter named Imani. She is my pride and joy! She is currently an ESL Teacher in Daegu, South Korea!
