I hold a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Alabama State University. I have also earned my Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling and completed my Instructional Leadership Certification at the University of West Alabama. I hold a Professional Educator Certification in the area of Elementary Education, School Counseling, and Instructional Leadership.

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction in my second year as the Assistant Principal of Flowers Elementary School (FES). I am incredibly grateful and excited to continue my leadership with the FES family! I look forward to continue to work in partnership with all stakeholders in advocating for, and providing all students and families with educational experiences where values and diversity are celebrated. Throughout my career, I was an Accountability Interventionist, Technology Coordinator, 1^st grade, 4^th grade, and 5^th grade teacher at Davis Elementary School with the Montgomery Public School System.

In addition, I have worked in Lowndes County, AL at Ft. Deposit Elementary and Central Elementary Schools teaching grades 1^st and 2^nd. This is my 20th year as an educator, and I enjoy the challenges of education, working with teachers, parents, students, as well as community organizations.

I will continue to provide leadership to build a structure of collaborative relationships in the school and community so that ALL students can have a variety of opportunities to succeed! I look forward to meeting all students and families this 2022-2023 School Year!
