Sporting events can and should be opportunities for fun and fellowship in a family-friendly environment. We have a responsibility to do everything we can to ensure that these events are safe for everyone attending. That is why we are setting forth some guidelines.
Heather Grayson joined Highland Avenue Elementary School as the new principal for the 2020-2021 school year. Her career began at Brewbaker Primary, where she taught 2nd grade and Kindergarten for nine years. Ms. Grayson has also served in the role of Academic Interventionist and Assistant Principal at Brewbaker Primary. Ms. Grayson is a native of Montgomery and a graduate of Montgomery Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child and Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership.
Ms. Grayson believes it is important for everyone who steps through the school doors to feel welcomed and excited to be there. This attitude enables everyone to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. The focus this year at Highland Avenue centers on fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders and creating a safe learning environment that promotes academic achievement. The theme for this school year will be “Learning is Our G.A.M.E. - Growth, Achievement, Motivation, Excellence.”
