Magnet Schools

Magnet applications will be online this year. Applicants may only complete the electronic application once. No changes can be made after the electronic application has been submitted. Parents without internet access can go to their first-choice magnet school for assistance before the application deadline.

Please note: Applicants who choose to apply to more than one magnet school, must rank their selections beginning with 1st choice.  It is important that parents carefully consider the school choices before making a final decision.

Before beginning the magnet application process, parents are encouraged to learn as much about the magnet schools as possible. For interested applicants to learn more about our magnet schools, each of the magnet schools will be providing tours.

The Montgomery Public Schools Application period is expected to open Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  The application portal will remain open until 12:00 noon, January 29, 2021. 

*Magnet application transcripts must be submitted to the Magnet Office no later than 4:00 pm CST, on February 12, 2021.  Mailed transcripts must be postmarked no later than February 12, 2021*

We anticipate running the initial magnet lottery in late March or early April.
