District 2 Board Member Clare Weil is a native of Montgomery and a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and Huntingdon College. She is married to Bob Weisberg, and together they have three grown children and one grandchild. They are active members of Temple Beth Or.

An entrepreneur and businesswoman, she understands the importance of education in economic development and in preparing students for careers. Clare owns five The UPS Store locations in Montgomery and Prattville. Clare is constantly looking for ways to innovate, grow her business and provide service for the community. Clare grew up in a small family business in Montgomery and tries to bring small business values to her UPS Stores. She plans to use those same skills to help guide Montgomery Public Schools.

Clare has been involved with many community organizations. She currently is a member of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, Prattville Chamber of Commerce, CEO Roundtable, Women Business Owners of the River Region, Air Force Association (AFA), Baptist Medical Center East Advisory Board, T.S. Morris Elementary School Partners Alliance, and currently serves in a leadership position with a Super MCO (UPS Store owners) group in the Southeast.

She has served as national chair of the Marketing Advisory Council of UPS Stores. She has served on the boards of Temple Beth Or, American Cancer Society, Montgomery Symphony Association, and Girl Scouts of South Central Alabama. She is past a president of Montgomery Rotary Club, Montgomery Symphony League, and the Arts Council of Montgomery. She was a violinist in the Montgomery Symphony for 27 years. Clare is the founding member of Rosewood String Quartet, a string group that continues to perform.

Clare has been recognized in business with a Point of Light Award for a minority- or woman-owned business by the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015, she has twice been a finalist for the Samaritan Counseling Center’s River Region Ethics Award (2014 in small business category and 2015 for the Maury D. Smith award). She was a statewide finalist in 2016 for BCA’s Small Business Award. She is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery, Class XX.
