The well-being of children is at the heart of it all for District 5 Board Member Jannah Morgan Bailey. A Montgomery native and a 1979 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Auburn University at Montgomery with an emphasis in juvenile corrections. She is married to Montgomery Family Court Judge Bob Bailey and has two sons and daughters-in-law and four wonderful grandchildren.


As the executive director of Child Protect Children’s Advocacy Center since April 2001, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the agency, public speaking and awareness, fundraising, and forensic interviewing of possible child abuse victims. Child Protect is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that assists the Department of Human Resources and law enforcement in the investigation of child abuse cases.

Jannah is active in the community and was named the 2018 Leading Lady Award for Professional and Community Service by the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama.  She is a member of the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club and St. James United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Jannah enjoys reading and hiking.
